| Yak for a Stack 2008 |
Last Saturday was the 5th annual Yak for a Stack at the Pines Resort in Florida. It's a friendly international kayak race where the objective is mostly to have fun, get dressed up in some wacky costumes and get to bond with the younger and older crowd surrounding the world of flatwater canoe-kayak. Thanks to the organisers Ryan Cuthbert and Ian Mortimer, the 270+ participants had a blast!

| Cold days in Florida (Feb 2008) |
On February 29th, the leap day of the leap year, we woke up to some pretty chilly weather. As is a leap day, this kind of temperature is uncommon in Florida at this time of the year. That morning, we had to do two 1000m time controls in k2 with 20min rest between each one. It was very challenging both mentally and physically. It was good practice for our first set of trials in Georgia (May 3-4), where the weather can get even worst!
